ADDITIONAL POSTOPERATIVE INFORMATION
1.
Q-Tips moistened with
hydrogen peroxide may be used to cleanse eyelid
incisions, gently keeping them free of crust formation.
2.
You should expect
swelling and discoloration about your eyes. This will
begin to subside in about 3 days and will be virtually
gone in 10 days to 2 weeks.
3.
Tearing often occurs after eye surgery. You may use
commercial eyewash drops to ease this. Also, more
frequent blinking is necessary as the eye is drier, due
to swelling.
4.
As healing progresses, it
is normal to feel tingling, tightness and some
stiffness.
